GEVI S.R.L. is committed to making this service accessible, in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 82 of 27 May 2022, which transposes Directive (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services (the European Accessibility Act).

This accessibility statement applies to the satellite wind study request service at windstudy.geviwind.com and its sub-pages. The www.geviwind.com website is covered by a separate statement.

Compliance status

This service is partially compliant with the harmonised standard EN 301 549 and with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, because of the non-compliances listed below.

“Partially compliant” means that some of the requirements are met, but barriers remain which we are in the process of removing according to the timetable set out further down. We think it is more useful to state them openly than to leave them out.

The barriers listed below were identified through the assessment described under “How this statement was prepared”. For each one we give the requirement concerned and the date by which we expect to have removed it.

The map is not the only way to give the installation site: the address and the coordinates can be typed straight into their own fields on the form, without having to drag the map. The remaining barrier concerns describing what the map shows, not the ability to complete a request.

Disproportionate burden

GEVI is not claiming any disproportionate burden exemption. Every barrier listed above is scheduled to be removed by the dates given. Should we in future consider that a particular fix would impose a disproportionate burden under Article 11 of Legislative Decree 82/2022, we will say so explicitly in this section, together with the reasons for that assessment.

Content outside the scope of the legislation

Some components embedded in our pages are supplied by third parties and are not built by GEVI: the maps and address search service (OpenStreetMap and Nominatim) and the payment page, which is hosted by Stripe. We have checked how they behave and will continue to do so at each update; where we find barriers that our own configuration cannot resolve, we will raise them with the supplier or consider replacing the component. If you cannot complete the payment, please contact us using the details below and we will make other arrangements.

How the assessment was carried out

Automated testing with the WAVE evaluation tool running in a browser, applying the rules that correspond to WCAG 2.1 level A and AA criteria, supplemented by a source code review and targeted checks on the accessible names of form fields, the association between labels and fields, form behaviour on validation errors, heading hierarchy, structural landmarks, the focus indicator, and contrast ratios.

Pages assessed

The assessment covered every page that makes up the service: the study request form, the order confirmation page, and the two pages of this statement. It did not cover the payment page, which is hosted by Stripe.

Next scheduled review

By 30 November 2026, and thereafter at least annually as well as after any significant change to the service.

The checks that require human judgement are still under way — full keyboard walkthrough, screen reader testing, and 200% zoom. We will update this statement once they are complete, which we expect by 30 November 2026.

If you come across a barrier that stops you using this service, please tell us. It genuinely helps: most of the fixes listed here come from our own testing, but reports from people who use the service are more precise.

Write to compliance@geviwind.com, telling us if you can which page was involved and what you were unable to do. You do not need to use technical terms or cite the legislation.

We will reply within 30 days. If the barrier you report prevents you from completing something, we will give you an alternative in the meantime: we can take your wind study request by email or over the phone and deal with it without you having to use the form on the site.
